The Alliance Development Trust (ADT) is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual who can provide the services of a Research Programme Officer to the newly established Research and Evaluation Centre of the Anti-Leprosy Campaign.

Contract Duration: 2 Years
Primary Location: Anti-Leprosy Campaign, Welisara

About the Research and Evaluation Centre
The Research and Evaluation Centre of the Anti-Leprosy Campaign was established to strengthen research relating to leprosy in Sri Lanka. Located at the Anti-Leprosy Campaign office in Welisara, this centre is under the Director of the Anti-Leprosy Campaign. The centre is affiliated with the Department of Public Health of the University of Kelaniya and works in partnership with the ADT.


  • Planning and writing proposals for research projects
  • Coordination of implementation of the research projects
  • Organising monthly monitoring meetings of all activities
  • Assisting in gathering necessary information for research projects
  • Collaborating with international universities in conducting multi-national studies
  • Preparing and submitting scientific publications to peer reviewed local and international journals of the research projects


  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, recognised by the University Grant Commission
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Experience in working with foreign-funded research projects
  • Research ability, communications, planning, adaptability and good interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in use of standard Microsoft Office application
