A regional conference on eradicating leprosy was held at the Office of the Regional Director of Health Services (RDHS), Trincomalee, on the 30th of January. The Provincial Director of Health Services, Dr D.G.M. Costa, chaired the conference.
The conference was attended by officials attached to the RDHS, representatives from the ADT, and the Trincomalee District interfaith leaders.
Several aspects of leprosy, including patient issues, were discussed at the conference.
Participants also decided to use resources at the Ministry of Health (MOH) offices efficiently in future. Government officials lauded the ADT for its efforts in combatting leprosy.

Sivakumar.
